Mark & Sheridan | Intimate Wedding in a Traditional Moroccan Riad
I remember packing my suitcase for Morocco, The anticipation and excitement were uncontainable this was a place I had wanted to visit for a few years. Ever since I was little I had a fascination with Africa in general and had always wanted to visit. Something about Africa has always pulled on me. It seemed so Alluring and Mystical, a place where I might discover some type of Magic. Being asked to Photograph a weddinging in Morocco was a dream come true. I took two weeks off practically forced my husband to come with me and we planned out the greatest adventure of our life. However this blog post is not about my two-week adventure, That's a story for another day.
This story is about Mark and Sheridan. Fun fact Mark and Sheridan were already married, they got married in Washington DC about a year and a half ago, but with so many of their friends from all over the world unable to attend, they wanted to tie the not for a second time in a place they love so much. It was a gorgeous drizzly day in Rabat, Morocco. When Cliff (my hubby) and I arrived at the riad, the energy was already buzzing. Music played from the Oud and chatter filled the riad. The ceremony was a sweet moment on top of the tiled stairs, A traditional Moroccan dinner was served including my favorite, Chicken Tagine. Guests mingled and chatted as I took these two outside for some portraits in the medina. I can't express how grateful I am to have been able to mark a bucket list location off my list and experience one of the most magical places and couples. I love you, Mark and Sheridan, Thank you for this adventure.
